Technology and Features

The SVT IQ Product Series has a very flexible architecture. It is open in that it can cope with both IP cameras as well as with analogue cameras.
Further it can be easily connected into existing CCTV infrastructure. The system is highly scalable and can be distributed or centralized.

Centralized Servers (All SVT Products)
Depending on the needs of the user the Servers can be placed locally in a control room or distributed near the cameras.

Interfacing with Cameras (All SVT Products)
The entire SVT IQ Series is compatible with the following cameras:

• USB (usually for testing purposes)
• IP Cameras
• Analogue Cameras (requires capture card)
• PTZ Cameras (although detection will not occur during movement)
  

Interfacing with DVR's (All SVT Products)
Interfacing with DVR's involves two parts; the input and output between your DVR and IQ system:

Options for input into SVT System

• We can take a loop-out from your DVR (a video capture card is needed on IQ system if you have an analogue signal)
• Split the camera feed (via VDA) to both your DVR and SVT IQ system
• Simple interface can be created if you can provide us images in jpeg format using http (IP stream)
• Interface can be done if you have a MPEG4 format (actual work and efforts need to be discussed)
• Tightly couple interface using our API (actual work and efforts need to be discussed)

Options for alarm output to DVR

• Via Relay card to turn on/off in the event of alarm
• Via an XML Schema using TCP/IP or RS232 in the event of alarm (will require a simple listening program at the DVR or other equipment)

Wireless PDA Option (All SVT Products)
The full range of SVT applications can be viewed and managed using a wireless PDA. This means that an operator is not restricted to a control room.

The security guard can be doing a tour and have a comprehensive ability to monitor, archive, review, and manage any alarm situations that occur. This includes the ability to do a ‘Jump to Event’ which is available with every product.

Any number of wireless PDAs can be added to the system at any stage to upgrade the flexibility and mobility of the security team. This effectively allows every member of the security staff to view or manage (if authorized) the video stream from any camera without being in a control room or at the server.

Each guard becomes a mobile control room in his own right. Full intelligence surveillance capabilities are available on the PDA and alarms are viewable in real-time.

Infinite Scalability (All SVT Products)
All systems are totally scalable. The customer can decide to have a single camera system and he can grow this to have thousands of cameras. He is not constrained to purchasing the system in blocks of 4, 8 or 16 cameras.
